Cyclesmith Junior Exchange Program

Trade-up As Your Child Grows

We want every kid to have a great first bike experience. When it comes to your child's bike, we want to make sure they're riding something that's comfortable, long-lasting, and fun. Each of our kid’s bikes are built to the same high-quality standards as adult bikes, so you can feel confident that you are choosing an excellent bike when you choose a Cyclesmith bike for your child.

At Cyclesmith, we consider cycling to be worth pursuing as a life-long passion and want to share that experience. Once your child outgrows their bike and is looking to upgrade, we’ve made it easier than ever to build that passion in your child with the Junior Exchange Program.

How the Program Works

Step 1

Is Your Bike Eligible?

If your child’s bike was purchased from Cyclesmith and is less than three years old from the time of purchase, yes!

Step 2

Bring The Bike In

Once you are ready to begin the Junior Exchange Program, bring the bike to the shop. We will assess the condition of the bike and provide a quote for as much as 50% of the original purchase price.

Step 3

Choose a New Bike

Speak with our team and select a new bike that suits your child’s needs. Once chosen, the quote from the old bike can be applied as a credit to the cost of the new bike.

Step 4

Rinse and Repeat

Your child’s bike is eligible for the program until they need their first adult-sized bike, which is a bike that has 26” wheels or larger. That means the 12”, 16”, 20” and 24” wheeled bikes are all eligible! Your last exchange can even be used as credit towards the purchase of their first adult-sized bike.
